The Indian Art Cottage was founded by Sanchita Nath Shashmal, along with her father-in-law, with the legendary artist Dhiren Shashmal, carrying a 50-year artistic legacy, as the main pioneer of the studio. His timeless artworks and profound artistic philosophy have deeply inspired the family. Debarshi Shashmal, son of artist Dhiren Shashmal, is also a skilled artist, further strengthening the legacy that has evolved into a distinctive blend of modern expression enriched with traditional sensibilities.
Art runs through the veins of the Shashmal family. Every day is a journey of exploration—experimenting with techniques, refining craftsmanship, and continuously pushing creative boundaries. The artworks created at The Indian Art Cottage are far from simple; they are defined by intricate detailing, depth, and decades of artistic expertise.
For decades, the studio has collaborated with prestigious organizations and renowned brands, including a long-standing association of over two decades with the Mayfair Group, along with many other respected companies and institutions.
